What is a men’s retreat?
Our annual men’s retreat is a time to get away from the ordinary demands of life to build brotherhood between the men in our church.
Who is invited to attend?
All adult men and youth-aged boys (7th grade + up) are invited to attend. If you are bringing a minor who is not accompanied by their parent/guardian, please let us know as we have additional forms required for such individuals.
Where is Cedarkirk?
Cedarkirk Conference Center is located at 1920 Streetman Drive in Lithia. A map with general driving directions as well as a property map to find our cabin will be provided prior to the event. We will be staying in the Pine Lodge cabin.
What will we do there?
The focus of our men’s retreats is discipleship. There are times of worship and prayer, as well as times for games and other outdoor activities. It will be a rich time. We are praying and believing that the Holy Spirit will come and change lives.
Will meals be provided?
Cedarkirk will provide dinner on the day of arrival as well as breakfast and lunch the following day. These meals are provided at specific times. You are welcome to bring your own snacks for in-between meals, or to accommodate special dietary needs. We will provide a few grab-bags with some snacks as well. Please refrain from bringing any alcohol on the premises.
Are there accommodations for special dietary requests/restrictions?
If you have a special dietary request or restriction, please let us know. Cedarkirk must know 14 days in advance to try to accommodate your request. If they are unable to accommodate your request, we will let you know so that you can arrange your meals another way.
What should I pack?
Cedarkirk rooms have twin-sized bunks, but be prepared to bring your own bedding or sleeping bags and pillows. All rooms are climate-controlled. Showers are available in the lodge, but you must bring your own toiletries and towel. Pack your Bible and notebook as well. Cedarkirk is located in a woody area, and we may be spending quite a bit of time outside. Bug spray and sunblock are highly recommended. Flashlights are helpful when walking at night. Bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and shoes that are appropriate for outdoor activities. Alcohol, illegal drugs, fireworks, and firearms are not permitted on the property.
How will cabins be assigned?
When we have the final count of men who will be attending, we will assign rooms for each person/group. Room assignments will be given upon arrival.
